Auto Lift SafetyPlease read the following prior to using your auto lift. You may also want to print this page and distribute to others who may be operating the auto lift. Your auto lift is for lifting vehicles only. Do not attempt to lift anything other than personal transport vehicles. Do not make any modifications to your auto lift without first contacting us. Do not raise or lower your lift with a person inside the vehicle. Do not raise or lower the lift with a person on the lift. The auto lift is not safe as an elevator for persons. Do not stand under the vehicle when raising or lowering the auto lift. Clear all tools and equipment from under the vehicle before lowering the auto lift. Stay clear of auto lift if vehicle is in danger of falling. Do not rock the vehicle excessively while on the auto lift. Always use vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting points. Always check to see that lifting pads are properly engaging the lifting points before fully raising the vehicle. Always raise the vehicle until tires have left the ground and then push the front and rear bumper to ensure proper weight distribution. When operating a two post lift, always use all four arms to lift the vehicle. Make sure that the vehicle weight is evenly distributed at 25% per lift arm. Use height adapters when needed. Please be aware that extra caution is needed when using height adapters. Use under hoist stands or safety stands when removing or installing heavy or large vehicle parts. Removal of a heavy component from vehicle could change original weight distribution. Do not override the safety locks or arm restraints. Always be sure that the cables are properly running on each pulley. Do not operate the auto lift while cables are off the pulleys. Always lower your lift down to the closest locking position. Stay clear of your vehicle until the auto lift is lowered into the locked position. Do not attempt to begin raising your lift while the hydraulic system is under pressure. Do not use the caster kit on your four post lift while a vehicle is on the lift. Periodically check oil level of power unit. Periodically check floor mounting hardware. Periodically make sure the inside of columns are properly greased. Periodically check all components for wear. Do not allow your auto lift power unit to be exposed to the outside weather. |
